The University of West Georgia's Student Handbook contains an Honor Code students are expected to follow. The Honor Code can be found beginning on page 21. The Sociology and Criminology department also has a Policy on Academic Integrity that you must abide by if you are enrolled in any Sociology or Criminology courses at the University of West Georgia.

Google Scholar is a useful place to get started with your research. For most articles you find here, you will still need to visit the library's website to obtain the full text of the article.

Often students are asked to use scholarly (or peer-reviewed) journals but do not know how to find them or what they are. Locating Scholarly Journals is a useful handout to help you find scholarly journals using  Ingram Library's website.
